Kenya is a land of contrast. From the hectic bustle of Nairobi to the peaceful pace of a rural village. From the lush tea and coffee plantations to the dusty savannah of the Rift Valley. It’s a land filled with diverse cultures, strange animals, joy and heartbreak.
Kenya is a cultural microcosm of the larger continent of Africa. Generations of migrations have resulted in a diverse mosaic of cultures and traditions. This melting-pot of peoples is firmly rooted in the framework of tribal tradition. There are more than 40 tribal groupings in this country where national identity is second to tribal identity. Kenya has a culture born of countless sources. This region has been crossed by the paths of a long and complex history. From the prehistoric records of early man to the present day, Kenya has been a land of unending change, contrasts and diversity.
