Getting Started / Navigation

In order to add any new object to the navigation structure, you must be under the "Site Map" tab that is located just below the top most light blue bar that states SiteApex's version and beside the "Home" tab.

What is a Section?

Sections are at the top of the navigational structure and as such, everything is placed underneath it.  To create a section, find the "Add Section" button at the top of your sidebar.  Click it and type in the name of the section and click submit at the bottom of the page.  It will then inform you that you have created a section successfully.

What is a Category?

A category is placed within a section.  In order to create a Category, you must already have an existing Section.  When you are ready to insert a Category you must click on the Section that the Category is going into on the side bar, which will then bring up that Section's panel at the top of the page.  Choose the option "Add Category" at the far right of the panel to add a category.  You can see in the example that “Online Manual” and “Video Tutorials are both Categories within the “Support” section.
What is a Page?

A page is designed to go within a category.  The process is the same for a page as it is for a category except you are creating the page under a category, not a section.  You can see that the pages “Getting Started / Navigation” and “Creating a Site” are both examples of pages.  They are within the “Online Manual” category.
